"Change Your Climate, Change Our World" is the theme of ExchangesConnect's Second Annual Video Contest. In a video no longer than two minutes, participants are encouraged to tell what they or someone they know is doing to make their community a better place, and in the process contributing to a healthier, safer, cleaner, and more peaceful world. Winners will receive an all-expense-paid international exchange program! The Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) is currently in the process of collecting nominations in an effort to identify the world's leading public policy think tanks for the 2009.
In four short years the Global Go To Index has become an authoritative source for the top public policy research institutes in the world. Last year’s Index was featured in the January/February issue of Foreign Policy magazine and The Economist. This year's finalists will be announced at a press conference at the United Nations in January 2010.

The American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS is pleased to announce the 2010 U.S.-Central Asia Education Foundation (U.S.-CAEF) Enterprise Student Fellowship Program.
The U.S.- Central Asia Education Foundation was incorporated as a USA
The U.S.-CAEF Enterprise Student Fellowship program is aimed at supporting talented and deserving youth in the further study of business and economics. A strong preference will be given to those students applying for a business fellowship. Only a limited number of economics scholarships will be awarded in any given year. The Enterprise Student Fellowships program does not discriminate on the basis of ethnic origin, age, race, color, gender, religion or disability. Попытке найти объективный ответ на эти и иные вопросы и будет посвящена данная лекция.

JOB DESCRIPTION: ALUMNI TEACHING ASSISTANT
2010 FLEX Pre-Departure Orientation
Application Deadline: January 22, 2010
Purpose of Position: To assist the Orientation Teacher in preparing FLEX participants for their exchange experience using materials provided by American Councils/DC administrative staff; to plan PDO sessions together with the local orientation team; to teach FLEX students in English about American culture and family life.
Description of Duties:
· Learn the established goals and objectives of the FLEX program and its pre-departure orientation materials;
· Attend the entire four-day Training of Teachers workshop (TOT) during the month of April and become thoroughly familiar with assigned lesson plan;
· Actively participate in PDO planning and preparation meetings coordinated by your local program hub office in the time period between the TOT workshop and the beginning of your assigned PDO cycle;
· Assist orientation teachers by acting as a cross-cultural resource and role model for students;
· Conduct Alumni-led sessions of the PDO, as assigned;
· During non-classroom hours, be a supportive listener and positive role model for students;
· Maintain program integrity at all times by enforcing organizational rules and regulations;
· Perform other logistical duties as assigned by the Program Hub Director.
Reports to: FLEX Program Coordinator, American Councils Kyrgyzstan
Qualifications:
· Alumni of the FLEX program who successfully completed their program with no extensive on-program issues. Only students who participated on the program between (and including) the 2003-2004 and 2007-2008 academic years are eligible to apply;
· Comfortable with large numbers of teenagers and able to relate to their anxieties while acting as an authority figure;
· Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations;
· Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to function with staff of different ages and cultural backgrounds;
· Available to teach two to four PDO cycles in June or July 2010 (as determined by Program Hub Director);
· Not currently employed with American Councils on a full or part time basis;
· Has previously taught no more than one PDO cycle. Returning TAs are required to go through the application and interview process.

2. ВАКАНСИЯ СПЕЦИАЛИСТА ПО РАЗРАБОТКЕ БИЗНЕС-ПЛАНА КООРДИНАЦИОННО-МАРКЕТИНГОВОГО ЦЕНТРА (КМЦ), ПРОЕКТ АБР «ПОВЫШЕНИЕ УРОВНЯ ЖИЗНИ СЕЛЬСКИХ ЖЕНЩИН ПУТЕМ РАЗВИТИЯ РЕМЕСЛЕННОГО СЕКТОРА»
Проект Азиатского Банка Развития «Повышение уровня жизни сельских женщин путем развития ремесленного сектора» (JFPR грант №9104) объявляет конкурс на замещение вакантной должности специалиста по разработке бизнес-плана Координационно-маркетингового центра (КМЦ) на краткосрочный период (3 месяца):
Требования:
· Высшее образование в сфере экономики или смежных областях
· Опыт в разработке бизнес-планов для создания своего бизнеса, опыт в разработке успешных бизнес-планов для женщин-предпринимательниц предпочтителен
· Опыт в разработке маркетинговой стратегии предприятия, фирмы или компании, предпочтительно ремесленного производства
· Опыт проведения тренингов по бизнес-планированию для предпринимателей, создающих свой бизнес
· Свободное владение русским и кыргызским языками, знание английского языка предпочтительно
· Навыки работы на компьютере
Обязанности:
· Разработать, сформулировать, согласовать с руководством Проекта и задокументировать институциональную и легализованную систему КМЦ (включая его структуру, право собственности, и управленческое регулирование)
· Разработать, сформулировать, согласовать с руководством Проекта и задокументировать подробный бизнес план, содержащий механизм платных услуг для предоставления базы четкой и прозрачной системы по взиманию платы за услуги КМЦ по продвижению продукта и маркетингу, тренингам по дизайну, использованию экологически-чистого материала, и других услуг предоставляемых сельским ремесленным пунктам (СРП).
· Разработать, сформулировать, согласовать с руководством Проекта и задокументировать стратегию выхода для Проекта на основе разработанного бизнес-плана.
· Подготовить и представить итоговый отчет о данных и рекомендациях, включая задокументированную и легализованную структуру КМЦ, подробный бизнес план, и стратегию выхода для Проекта.
· Проведение консультаций и совместных обсуждений со всеми заинтересованными сторонами по обсуждению промежуточных и окончательного варианта бизнес-плана КМЦ.
· Доработка чернового варианта бизнес-плана КМЦ с учетом замечаний всех заинтересованных сторон.
· Предоставление кратких ежемесячных отчетов по ходу подготовки бизнес-плана КМЦ, по проведению обсуждения промежуточного и окончательного варианта разработанного варианта бизнес-плана КМЦ с заинтересованными структурами и т.д.
· Доработка существующих бизнес-планов СРП.
