The U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic
invites local non-governmental organizations interested in design, development
and distribution of American English textbooks for grades 4-7 throughout the
country to submit letters of interest by 10:00 am on December 3, 2012.
The Public Affairs Section of the U.S.
Embassy will hold a pre-solicitation informational session for interested
organizations on December 6, 2012.
The goals of this project are as follows:

To
adapt American English textbooks for nationwide use in grades 4-7.
·
To
revise national curriculum for English instruction for grades 4-7.
·
To
coordinate training of teachers for use of the textbook and implementation of
the new curriculum for grades 4-7.
·
To
distribute new textbooks nationwide.

Американские Советы
по Международному Образованию (АСПРЯЛ/АКСЕЛС) в Кыргызской Республике объявляют
открытие конкурса «Empower Access» в 2013 году. Последний срок подачи анкеты на программу
10 декабря 2012 года.
Программа «Empower Access» (EAP) является
регионально ориентированной программой профессионального обмена, как для индивидуальных лиц, так
и для организаций, непосредственно работающих с людьми с ограниченными
возможностями. Данная программа финансируется Государственным Департаментом
США и Бюро по делам образования и
культуры. В Кыргызстане, Казахстане,
Пакистане и Таджикистане программа EAP администрируется Американскими Советами по
Международному Образованию: АСПРЯЛ / АКСЕЛС. Не более 15 участников из Кыргызстана, Казахстана, Пакистана и
Таджикистана посетят США, где в течение одного месяца они пройдут стажировку в американской принимающей
организации, изучая такие вопросы как,
управление НПО и укрепление
потенциала, практика в области
искусства, адаптивные технологии, спортивный менеджмент, инклюзивное
образование, политика и законодательство, оздоровительные инициативы и
пропаганды. Кроме того, программа EAP предоставит возможность
15 американцам нанести ответный визит в страны участников.
Цели программы:
·
поддержка, как отдельных лиц, так и
организаций в их работе с людьми с
ограниченными возможностями;
·
пропаганда политики и программ в интересах людей с ограниченными
возможностями;
·
содействие здоровому гражданскому обществу, что позволит отдельным лицам и организациям, работающим с людьми с
ограниченными возможностями,
обмениваться передовым опытом и
содействовать межсекторальному сотрудничеству в рамках двустороннего
профессионального обмена;
·
обеспечение пользы от программы
обмена людям с
нарушениями функций органов чувств, физическими недостатками, а также их
семьям;
·
создание и расширение системы взаимодействия отдельных лиц и организаций, работающих
с людьми с ограниченными возможностями;
·
создание общего языка для разработки практических решений для общих проблем
и забот.
Критерии для участия
в программе:
·
иметь гражданство и проживать в Кыргызстане, Казахстане, Пакистане и
Таджикистане (заявители должны проживать в стране их гражданства);
·
иметь соответствующий опыт и продемонстрировать готовность работать с людьми с ограниченными возможностями;
·
продемонстрировать лидерские
качества и навыки совместной работы;
·
иметь желание и умение разработать и осуществить непродолжительные взаимные
проекты для участников США в ответ;
·
владеть английским языком на высоком уровне. Для всех полуфиналистов, будет
проведен экзамен ITP TOEFL. При наличии сертификатов официального теста TOEFL (проходной балл 500 -
бумажный вариант, 60 - интернет
вариант) или теста IELTS (6 или выше), вы можете
предоставить нам Ваш сертификат.

Международного Молодежного Фонда (ММФ) объявляет грантовый конкурс на тему:
«Молодежные предпринимательские клубы»
Проект должен
способствовать дальнейшему развитию и обеспечить устойчивость 30
предпринимательских клубов, созданных в 2012 г. в средних школах новостроек
вокруг г. Бишкек, г. Кара-Балта, Ошской и Жалал-Абадской области. Цель клубов –
это культивировать и развивать предпринимательский потенциал уязвимых групп
молодежи. Предлагаемый проект должен охватывать, как минимум 400 молодых людей
в возрасте от 14 до 17 лет.
Срок реализации: 12
месяцев, с февраля 2013 г. по январь 2014 г.

Role, Duties and Responsibilities
The
Secretary (G-5) provides secretarial and office support activities for the FAO
Representation. He / she works under the overall guidance of the FAO
Representative. The Secretary (G-5) works with some leeway for independent
action and may handle confidential and sensitive matters and material. The
incumbent performs the following duties:
·
Receive, screen, file, distribute, draft,
format, and monitor incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation;
select and abstract pertinent material for supervisors’ review; identify
complex or sensitive material for special treatment; review outgoing
correspondence and documentation for correct format, grammar, spelling and
conformance with FAO and country policies and procedures; attach necessary
background information; maintain a follow-up system.
·
Screen and place calls; respond to telephone,
e-mail and personal enquiries; refer non-recurring matters and difficult issues
to respective units within and outside FAO.
·
Manage the calendars of the FAO Representative
and Assistant FAO Representatives; schedule appointments; brief the FAOR and
Assistant FAORs on matters before meetings and trips.
·
Type and format reports, presentations,
publications, and other documentation material for the FAOR and for the
Assistant FAORs.
·
Maintain control of records and files; follow-up
on deadlines to supervisor and officers for their action.
·
Select a variety of information from various
sources (e. g. Intra-/ Internet, office files, FAO information and
documentation); compile background information and reference material as
appropriate.
·
Perform protocol liaison activities with the
Host Government.
·
Receive and accompany visitors of the FAO
Representative / country office.
·
Make travel arrangements.
·
Organize meetings and events held in the
country, by arranging for meeting facilities, equipment, catering, travel,
logistics, etc; prepare correspondence and assemble documents for participants;
provide administrative and secretarial support during the meetings.
·
Take minutes at the supervisors’ / office’s
internal and/or official meetings.
·
Coordinate the provision of central office
support services, e.g. office supplies, translations, printing, building
services, etc.
·
Perform other related duties required.
Education:
·
Degree in relevant education. Secretarial training. Training in office
management and/or general administration.
Work
Experience:
·
Four years of progressively responsible
secretarial and/or clerical experience.
Languages:
·
Working knowledge (level C) of the FAO official
language used for communication within the country (English, French or Spanish)
and working knowledge of the local language(s) is required.
IT Skills:
·
Ability to effectively use standard office
software, such as MS Office (Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point,

Duties

Under

Qualifications
and experience required:

PROGRAM OFFICER, USAID KYRGYZSTAN
PARLIAMENTARY STRENGTHENING PROGRAM (KPSP). DEADLINE: DECEMBER 1, 2012
The
KPSP is a three-year technical assistance initiative funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID and implemented by
Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI). The KPSP is directed at the institutional
strengthening of the Kyrgyz Parliament as an independent and professional state
body effectively implementing its constitutionally mandated legislative,
representative and oversight functions. The
KPSP consists of the following four main components and areas of programming
concentration: 1. assistance in improving legislative process and procedure; 2.
assistance in strengthening parliamentary committees; 3. improving information
flow on parliamentary activities between the Parliament and civil society and
the public; and 4. assistance in improving human resource management
Long
term position: Program Officer
Responsibilities:
·
Teaching and designing an English teaching
program for select MPs and parliamentary staff already possessing some level of
fluency in English including leading a weekly English discussion club;

Overseeing daily monitoring of the Performance
Monitoring Plan (PMP) to ensure the KPSP meets PMP indicator and percentage
targets;

Assisting the COP in preparing written
correspondence to USAID and the DAI Home Office;

Desired
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of development experience in
Central Asia, preferably Kyrgyzstan ;

Knowledge of approaches to promoting good
governance, particularly Parliaments;

Native fluency in English;
·
High level of fluency in Russian with knowledge
of Kyrgyz a plus;
·
Strong writing and editing skills including
experience with report writing, especially on USAID funded programs;
·
Experience teaching English to non-native
speakers, especially state officials;
·
Culturally comfortable and effective working in
an office and atmosphere where the majority of employees are cooperating
country nationals (CCNs) and English is not the predominant inter-office

Role, Duties and Responsibilities
The
Secretary (G-5) provides secretarial and office support activities for the FAO
Representation. He / she works under the overall guidance of the FAO

Supervision received: The

Accountabilities:
