2. “THE ECONOMY
OF CHINA” EVENING SUMMER COURSE BY DR. RALPH HUENEMANN (UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA,
CANADA), LEARNING CENTER SPCE, UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ASIA, BISHKEK, KYRGYZSTAN.

This course
will help students to understand China ’s economy and its trade and
investment relationships with
the rest of
the world. The course will begin by exploring briefly the geographical,
cultural and historical context. Then the Chinese economy will be examined in
more detail, with primary focus on the transition (still incomplete) from a
largely self-reliant, centrally-planned economy to more open, market-oriented
institutions since the reforms that began in 1978. Finally, the current
business climate in China ,
especially its international aspects will be discussed.
The course objectives are to:

Understand the implications of China ’s
economic reforms, and why the economic system remains a mixed one;
·
Understand China ’s policy dilemmas, and the
current climate for international business dealings; and
·
Further develop the capacity to analyze policy
choices and predict policy outcomes, to identify business opportunities, and to
evaluate strategic business decisions.
Instructor:
Ralph
Huenemann, MA & PhD (Harvard), Professor Emeritus (University of Victoria , Canada ). Following his retirement from University of Victoria
(UVic) in 2005, Ralph Huenemann joined the Faculty of Peking University in Beijing , where he was
Visiting Professor of Economics and International Business at the Guanghua
School of Management from 2006 to 2008.
Ralph
Huenemann joined the UVic faculty in 1987, when he accepted the CAPI Chair in Economic
Relations with China .
He served simultaneously as the Founding Director of CAPI. He taught in the School of Public Administration from 1987 to 1997,
and in the Faculty of Business from 1997 to 2005. He was also an adjunct
professor in Economics during his time at UVic. He received both an M.A. in
Regional Studies - East Asia and a Ph.D. in
Economics at Harvard.
Interspersed
with his teaching career, he has worked on many development projects in China and
elsewhere in

для детей-сирот 2-3 июня 2012 года с «ГРАНТ0!5» и собирают благотворительные
средства на подарки
Уважаемые
друзья!
Мы запускаем
благотворительный проект для детей-сирот из интерната под названием Праздник
«Воздушных змей». Сотрудники
консалтинговой службы «ГРАНТ0!5» организуют 2-3 июня 2012 года (суббота
или воскресенье) праздник «Воздушных
змей» для детей Бишкекской школы-интерната №1.
Праздник
«Воздушных змей» -- это мероприятие, посвященное дню Защиты детей 1 июня. Мы
решили организовать мероприятие на
собственные и собранные нами благотворительные средства, чтобы устроить
праздник детям.
Проект хочет
научить детей-сирот изготовлять и пускать «воздушных змей» в небо. Воздушный
змей является древнейшим изобретением человечества и прекрасным видом активного
отдыха, доставляющий радость и детям, и взрослым.
Мы приглашаем
Вас принять участие в этом празднике детства! Подарите праздник детям!
Просим Вас
оказать помощь и содействие в проведении данного праздника для детей-сирот. Все
желающие могут помочь «ГРАНТ0!5» организовать этот праздник
на пожертвованные средства. Все
собранные средства на благотворительность (деньги, подарки, игрушки, книги в
хорошем состоянии или новые) будут направлены на организацию праздника:

материалы для изготовления воздушных змей,

мелки для рисунков,

транспортные расходы для детей-сирот,

17-00. В программе: обучение детей-сирот изготовлению воздушных змей, запуск
воздушных змей, рисование детских рисунков на асфальте, благотворительный
аукцион фото-картин с автографами и пожеланиями детей-сирот, прогулка для
детей-сирот в Дубовый парк с мороженым и посещение аттракционов.

receives motor pool vehicle requests electronically and by telephone, in

records such as time and attendance and mileage logs. Arranges travel
authorizations and vouchers for motor pool drivers via Post’s decentralized
software.
Qualifications required

accompanies a direct-hire Foreign,

member permanently assigned or stationed at a U.S. Foreign Service post or
establishment abroad, or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan . An MOH is:

Not an EFM; and,
·
Not on the travel orders
of the sponsoring employee; and,

Has been officially
declared by the sponsoring USG employee to the COM as part of his/her
household.
A
MOH is under COM authority and may include a parent, unmarried partner, other
relative or adult child who falls outside the Department’s current legal and
statutory definition of family member. A
MOH does not have to be a U.S. Citizen.

Not Ordinarily Resident (NOR) – An individual who:
