The Alumni Engagement
Innovation Fund (AEIF) offers $1,000,000 to help teams of alumni tackle some of
the world’s most pressing issues.
Administered by the State Department’s Alumni Affairs Division, AEIF
awards up to $25,000 per winning team. All State Alumni are welcome to
participate.
Themes for South and Central Asia Region:
·
Entrepreneurship and Training.
·
Women, Youth and Minorities in the Democratic
Process.
·
Volunteerism and Community Service.
·
Innovative Use of Social Media by Alumni.
3 Steps to Start:
·
Identify the themes for your country or region.
Proposals must be submitted on only one theme.
·
Submit your proposal between February 27, 2012
and March 30, 2012.
·
Form a team by March 30, 2012 of 10 or more
alumni (or current participants) of U.S. government-funded exchange
programs.
·
Browse proposals by region, theme or keyword.
·
Comment on proposals. Discuss, provide critiques
and suggestions.
·
Revise your proposal and add team members.
Proposals and revisions must be submitted by March 30, 2012.

PROGRAM MUSKIE MENTOR/ADVISOR EXCHANGE (MAX). DEADLINE: March 12, 2012

The Muskie Mentor/Advisor Exchange
(MAX) program supports continued professional relationships between Muskie
alumni and their American host advisors, supervisors, professors, and mentors.
The Muskie MAX program will support
a Muskie alumnus/a, working in collaboration with a host mentor or advisor, to
create and implement a professional education workshop in the alumnus/a’s home
country. Mentors/advisors would travel to Eurasia
to conduct or co-conduct workshops focusing on continuing professional
education with and for the Muskie alumnus/na and their non alumni peers and
colleagues.
The alumnus/a will identify in-kind
support required to hold the workshops, which may include venue rental, food,
printing costs, etc. IREX will cover the travel and lodging cost of the
visiting mentor while providing a stipend to cover their in-country expenses.
Who is Eligible for Muskie MAX?
American mentors/advisors eligible
for this grant include: academic advisors, internship host supervisors and any
other professional contact that worked directly with the Muskie fellow in a way
that was related to his/her field of study. Mentors/Advisors MUST be US
citizens.
How do I apply for a Muskie MAX
grant award?
The Muskie alumnus/a will complete a
brief online application describing the intent of the workshop, the workshop
participants, and the profile of the American mentor/advisor who would

Examples of Potential Projects:
·
An economics alumnus/na working for the Ministry
of Finance invites a professor to conduct a seminar for his colleagues at the
Ministry of Finance and opens the seminar to the other interested participants.
Ministry of Finance cost-shares the event by providing training space and food.
·
An alumnus/na in the field of Public Health
organizes a conference for hospital administrators and local elected officials
on improved management methods and ways to teach the local community about
disease prevention. The academic advisor presents on the differences between
health care in the two countries and different methods to be more cost
effective with health care management. Local government funds event (conference
room, meals).
·
Law alumnus/na focusing on environmental law
issues presents on legal issues relating to how waste disposal and renewable
energy are affected by neighboring countries. An internship advisor provides
information about not only this issue but also on international trade laws and
how these two topics are related. Funds for this event are raised through the
government and local businesses that wish to sell their products in other
countries.
·
Alumnus/a in education who works for an NGO
advocating for improved access to schools for disabled students prepares a
workshops for teachers and education officials. NGO provides conference space.
The alumnus/a’s internship supervisor conducts a training on access and
accommodation issues for disabled students

Заявка на грант
должна содержать всю информацию по перечисленным ниже пунктам, не превышая
объем 5 страниц. Проект не будет
рассматриваться до тех пор пока вся информация не будет предоставлена. Дополнительные документы и первичные варианты
проекта могут быть на русском языке. Финальная копия проекта должна быть
составлена на английском языке. Ответ
может занят до двух месяцев.
Формат проекта:

Проект должен быть написан на английском

Проект не должен прeвышать
5 печатных страниц, размер шрифта 12;

Претенденты на грант должны приложить копии
резюме основных участников проекта;

Это включает:
·
Пункт Обоснование проекта должен включать в
себя объяснение почему Вы обратились в посольство США за финансированием
данного проекта, почему Вы считаете что данный проект необходим, кто получит
пользу от этого проекта, как проект повлияет на развитие Кыргызской Республики. Также, пожалуйста опишите критерии оценки
успеха проекта. (Можете также приложить письма поддержки).
·
Устойчивость проекта - если проект будет
продолжен после окончания средств гранта, заявка должна содержать объяснение
того, как организация будет покрывать расходы по проекту.
·
Проекты, включающие публикацию материалов,
должны включать описание целевой аудитории, содержания материалов и информации
о путях распространения. Подобные
проекты будут рассмотрены только, если язык материалов русский или кыргызский. Если на финансирование публикации
используются средства Правительства США, это значит, что Правительство
Соединенных Штатов будет обладать неограниченным правом на тиражирование и
распространение данной печатной продукции.
Продолжительность
проекта не может превышать 1 год.

INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANT ON SEED TECHNOLOGY / VARIETY MAINTENANCE, FAO UN (FOOD

Under
the overall supervision of the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia and
the technical supervision of the of the Plant Protection and Production Officer
in SEC, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, the AFAOR in
Kyrgyz Republic and the National Project Coordinator, and in coordination with
other collaborators in the project, the International Consultant, will
undertake two missions for the project and will:

Provide support in reviewing the seed sector in Kyrgyz Republic
and developing a seed policy document;
·
Review and assess the seed production and
processing procedures for priority crops in the Kyrgyz Republic ;
·
Review and assess the infrastructure facilities
and human resources available to undertake variety maintenance, seed production
and processing of priority crops;
·
Provide technical assistance in calibrating, use
and maintenance of seed cleaning machines;
·
Train the national experts on conducting
demonstration of superior crop varieties and modern seed production and
processing procedures for priority crops;
·
Provide hands-on technical know-how on variety
maintenance, early generation seed production and seed processing and
packaging;
·
Prepare handouts and guidelines for seed
production and processing;
·
Review manuals on seed production developed by
the national project team;
·
Prepare a report of work performed at the end of
each mission;
·
Perform any other duties, which are within the
technical competence of the consultant and required for successful execution of
the project.
Background :
Qualifications:
plant breeder / seed technologist (M.Sc or higher) with at least ten years of
practical experience in cereal breeding and seed production; computer skills
and ability to write technical reports are required. Fluency in English is
essential, Russian desirable.

LOGISTICAL ASSISTANT, THE UNITED NATIONS CHILDREN'S FUND (UNICEF), BISHKEK , KYRGYZSTAN .

Under
the supervision of Operations Manager undertakes day-to-day responsibility for
timely, appropriate and efficient maintenance of logistics, supply and
warehouse management activities.
The duties and responsibilities:
·
Conducts market surveys and handles logistics of
local procurement.
·
Assists in the implementation of
supply/logistics component of the new Country Programme.
·
Responsible for the efficient logistics
planning, tracking and arrangements, facilitating efficient clearance, storage
and distribution of supplies and equipment to end-users from ports of entry and
warehouses. Ensures maintenance, accuracy and transparency of the logistics
records in VISION ERP in compliance with UNICEF procedures.
·
Maintains contact with customs and immigration
officials, follows up on the preliminary supply clearance documentations to
facilitate timely customs clearance of supplies and equipment, in keeping with
established protocol.
·
Releases and receives stock at warehouse,
ensuring the required documentation is in place. On a regular basis, prepares
property status reports, recommends stock for LPSB review.
·
Whenever required, undertakes field visits to
project sites to inventorize and monitor supply inputs.
·
Provides support with drafting, manually
entering and filing of the supply, logistic and contract documentation.
·
Maintain collaborative relations with UNICEF
Supply Division Programme and Operations Sections, the UN colleagues, freight
forwarders and counterparts in supply, logistics and warehouse activities.
·
Purchases minor office and programme stock.
·
Performs other duties as required.
The successful candidate
shall have:
·
University degree, preferably advanced
university degree or equivalent background, in Business Administration,
Logistics or related disciplines;
·
Five years of progressively responsible clerical
or administrative work experience in international organizations, of which at
least three years was closely related to logistics;
·
Fluency in Russian and English, knowledge of
Kyrgyz is an asset;
·
Ability to prioritize and organize work
assignments;
·
Ability to work under time pressure;
·
Work harmoniously with colleagues and be
co-operative to assist others during peak load and absenteeism of other staff;

Фонд «Сорос-Кыргызстан» ПОВТОРНО объявляет среди граждан Кыргызской
Республики конкурс на замещение вакантной должности ассистента Правовой
программы на период реализации проекта по предотвращению пыток в рамках
Правовой программы (работа по срочному трудовому договору)
Обязанности:
·
Реализация проектной деятельности;
·
Содействие в проведении мониторинга и оценки
деятельности проекта;
·
Написание творческих и финансовых отчетов по
деятельности проекта;
·
Материально-техническое обеспечение
семинаров, тренингов и других мероприятий в рамках проекта;
·
Рассылка информации по проектной деятельности
посредством электронной почты, факса, телефона; своевременное уведомление
Директора программы;
·
Комплектование и подготовка проектных
документов для архивирования;
·
Поддержка файловой системы проектной
документации и документирование необходимой информации;
·
Своевременный ввод необходимой информации в
программу Grants Management System;
·
Своевременное предоставление финансовых
документов в финансовый отдел;
·
Написание пресс-релизов, писем, ответов на
информационные запросы, других документов;
·
Устный перевод и письменный перевод проектных
документов при необходимости;
·
Подготовка встреч, проводимых директором
Правовой программы, ведение протокола;
·
Оказание административной и технической
поддержки Правовой программе ФСК;
·
Выполнение других поручений директора
программы и руководства Фонда.
Требования к кандидатам
Квалификация/навыки:
·
Высшее юридическое образование;
·
Приветствуется опыт работы в международных
организациях и НПО;
·
Опыт работы в сфере права, приветствуется
опыт работы в сфере предотвращения пыток;
·
Хорошие аналитические навыки;
·
Опыт административной работы;
·
Способность писать аналитические отчеты;
·
Компьютерная грамотность;
·
Отличное знание разговорного и письменного
английского и русского языков (знание кыргызского языка является
преимуществом);
·
Способность работать прозрачно и ответственно;
инициативность;
·
Способность работать автономно и в команде;
·
Способность работать внутри сети Фондов
открытого общества и приверженность его ценностям;
·
Способность придерживаться разнообразных
крайних сроков и расписаний;
·
Мотивация, энергичность, работоспособность;
·
Хорошие коммуникативные навыки.
Заработная плата устанавливается в соответствии с квалификацией и опытом
кандидата.
