Американские Советы по Международному Образованию (АСПРЯЛ/АКСЕЛС) в Кыргызской Республике  объявляют  открытие конкурса «Empower Access» в 2013 году. Последний срок подачи анкеты на программу 10 декабря 2012 года. 

Программа «Empower Access» (EAP)  является регионально ориентированной программой профессионального обмена,  как для индивидуальных  лиц, так  и для организаций, непосредственно работающих с людьми с ограниченными возможностями. Данная программа финансируется Государственным  Департаментом  США и  Бюро по делам образования и культуры. В Кыргызстане, Казахстане,  Пакистане и Таджикистане программа EAP администрируется Американскими Советами по Международному Образованию: АСПРЯЛ / АКСЕЛС. Не более 15 участников  из Кыргызстана, Казахстана, Пакистана и Таджикистана посетят США, где в течение одного месяца они пройдут  стажировку в американской принимающей организации, изучая такие вопросы как,  управление НПО и укрепление  потенциала,  практика в области искусства, адаптивные технологии, спортивный менеджмент, инклюзивное образование, политика и законодательство, оздоровительные инициативы и пропаганды. Кроме того, программа  EAP предоставит возможность   15 американцам нанести ответный визит в страны участников.

Цели программы:

·   поддержка, как отдельных лиц,  так и организаций в их работе  с людьми с ограниченными возможностями;
·          пропаганда политики и программ в интересах людей с ограниченными возможностями;
·     содействие здоровому гражданскому обществу, что позволит отдельным  лицам и организациям, работающим с людьми с ограниченными возможностями,  обмениваться  передовым опытом и содействовать  межсекторальному  сотрудничеству в рамках двустороннего профессионального обмена;
·    обеспечение пользы  от программы обмена  людям  с  нарушениями функций органов чувств, физическими недостатками, а также их семьям;
·    создание и расширение системы взаимодействия  отдельных лиц и организаций, работающих с  людьми с ограниченными возможностями;
·          создание общего языка для разработки практических решений для общих проблем и забот.

Критерии для участия в программе:

·        иметь гражданство и проживать в Кыргызстане, Казахстане, Пакистане и Таджикистане (заявители должны проживать в стране их гражданства);
·        иметь соответствующий опыт и продемонстрировать готовность работать  с людьми с ограниченными возможностями;
·          продемонстрировать  лидерские качества  и навыки совместной работы;
·      иметь желание и умение разработать и осуществить непродолжительные взаимные проекты для участников США в ответ;
·          владеть английским языком на высоком уровне. Для всех полуфиналистов, будет проведен   экзамен  ITP TOEFL. При наличии  сертификатов официального теста  TOEFL (проходной балл  500 -  бумажный вариант,  60 - интернет вариант)  или  теста IELTS (6 или выше), вы можете предоставить нам Ваш сертификат.

Программа Jasa.kg Международного Молодежного Фонда (ММФ) объявляет грантовый конкурс на тему: «Молодежные предпринимательские клубы»

Проект должен способствовать дальнейшему развитию и обеспечить устойчивость 30 предпринимательских клубов, созданных в 2012 г. в средних школах новостроек вокруг г. Бишкек, г. Кара-Балта, Ошской и Жалал-Абадской области. Цель клубов – это культивировать и развивать предпринимательский потенциал уязвимых групп молодежи. Предлагаемый проект должен охватывать, как минимум 400 молодых людей в возрасте от 14 до 17 лет.

Срок реализации: 12 месяцев, с февраля 2013 г. по январь 2014 г.

Максимальная сумма бюджета: 50 000 долларов США

4.     RADBOUD UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS, ENGLISH-TAUGHT MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMME , NETHERLANDS. DEADLINE: MARCH 15, 2013

Brief description:

The Radboud Scholarship Programme offers a selected number of talented prospective non-EEA students the opportunity to receive a scholarship to pursue a complete English-taught Master’s degree programme at Radboud University Nijmegen (of one or two whole years).
The Radboud Scholarship Programme is very selective and is only intended for talented students who have obtained outstanding study results and are highly motivated to pursue a Master’s degree programme at Radboud University.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The scholarship is not an amount of money that you will receive on your bank account but consists of a partial tuition waiver. The tuition fee will be waived to the level of an EEA student. Example: a grant holder in 2012/2013 pays a tuition fee of only  € 1,771,  instead of € 9,100, € 10,200 or € 16,450. In addition the Radboud Scholarship also covers costs such as for visa, residence permit,  health insurance and liability insurance.

Eligibility:

Candidates who want to become eligible for a Radboud Scholarship must meet the requirements for eligibility. This means that applicants should:

1.       hold a non-EU/EEA passport and should not already be eligible for the lower EEA tuition fee.
2.       have been fully admitted to the English-taught Master’s degree programme by the Student Affairs Office as stated in the formal letter of admission on behalf of the Executive Board.
3.       be able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands.
4.       have been enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master’s degree programme for which the scholarship will be awarded.

Application instructions:

You apply for a Radboud Scholarship by indicating on your Master’s application form for admission that you wish to apply for a Radboud Scholarship. The application for admission and the application for the scholarship is fully integrated, there is no separate procedure for the scholarship.
You need to be fully admitted to a Master’s degree program in order to be considered for the scholarship. The deadline for submitting your scholarship application, including all the required documents, is 15 March 2013. Also your payment of the handling fee must has been received before this deadline. If the information is incomplete or the handling fee has not been received on this date, the application will automatically be rejected.

5.     THE UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS (UMGF), MASTER’S AND PHD PROGRAMS, CANADA. DEADLINE: JANUARY 15, 2013

The University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships (UMGF) are merit-based awards that are open to students including international students who will be registered as full-time graduate students (Masters or Ph.D.) at the University of Manitoba regardless of nationality or discipline.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Students are eligible to receive the UMGF for the first 24 months of their Master’s program and the first 48 months of their PhD program. Total maximum UMGF support for any individual graduate student is 48 months.

Eligibility:

Students with a minimum GPA of 3.75 (above B+) at a recognized university based on a Bachelor, Masters, Graduate Diploma or a Doctoral degree. Please use admissions criteria in calculating GPA, i.e., last 60 credit hours or equivalent.  All students regardless of citizenship are eligible to apply.

Стипендия Фонда “Открытое Общество»/Лондонского университета (University of London) по правам человека 2013-14

Стипендия спонсируется совместно Фондом «Открытое Общество» – Лондон и Лондонским университетом (University of London). Данная с
типендия предоставляет возможность обучения в магистратуре в Великобритании молодым специалистам, имеющим достижения на академическом поприще, и демонстрирующим лидерские качества, способным стать руководителями и лицами, формирующими общественное мнение в стране своего гражданства. Кандидаты должны иметь диплом о высшем образовании с отличными отметками, ясный и четкий план работы, свободно владеть английским языком.

Каждая стипендия предоставляет оплату всех университетских взносов на протяжении курса обучения, ежемесячную стипендию на ежедневные расходы, и транспортные расходы до Великобритании и обратно. Стипендия покрывает расходы только на одного человека, финансирование членов семьи стипендиата не предусмотрено.

В рамках стипендии предоставляется обучение по специальности «Права человека» (MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights)

Кандидаты должны:

·      Иметь кыргызское гражданство. Кандидат должен проживать в стране гражданства на момент подачи заявки и в период проведения конкурса. Кандидаты, находящиеся за пределами Кыргызстана более трех месяцев принимать участие в конкурсе не могут

·          Продемонстрировать выдающийся академический потенциал, знания в выбранной области, а также четкую приверженность целям открытого общества.

·      Иметь диплом о высшем образовании (бакалавра или специалиста). Студенты последних курсов могут принять участие в конкурсе, при условии, что предоставят диплом к августу 2013.

·          Свободно владеть английским языком (минимум: TOEFL – 610 PBT/253 CBT, IELTS – 7.0)

·          Вернуться в страну своего гражданства после окончания обучения;

7.     TEACHING EXCELLENCE AND ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM (TEA) PROGRAM, US EMBASSY IN THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC. DEADLINE: MARCH 31, 2013

The Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA international teachers with unique opportunities to develop expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills and increase their knowledge about the United States. TEA consists of a sixweek nondegree, noncredit customized academic program including seminars on new teaching methodologies, curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional technology. Participants will also  participate in a practicum in a U.S. secondary school near the host university to work closely with U.S. teachers and teach and present to U.S. students. Cultural enrichment, mentoring, and support will be provided throughout the program. The international participants will travel to the United States in two cohorts of approximately 80 teachers each in spring or fall 2014.

Upon returning home, TEA program alumni are eligible to apply for small grants for essential teaching materials, followon training for other teachers, collaborative projects between schools in their home country and the United States, and other activities that build on their U.S. experience.

The TEA fellowship is fully funded and provides:

·          J-1 visa support;
·          A pre-departure orientation held in participant's home country;
·          Round-trip airfare from your home city to and within the U.S. (for participation in the program);
·          A Welcome Orientation in Washington, D.C.;
·          Academic program fees;
·          Housing (generally shared with other program fellows) and meals;
·          Accident and sickness medical insurance coverage;
·          Transportation to the internship school (if necessary);
·          A daily allowance for meals and incidentals during the academic program;
·          A book/professional development allowance;
·          A baggage allowance for fees incurred during program travel;
·          A Closing Workshop in Washington, D.C.; and
·          The opportunity to apply for follow-on grants.

8.     16 DAYS AGAINSTS VIOLENCE TRANING FOR GENDER EQUITEY ON DECEMBER 14, 2012, AMERICAN UNIVERSITY IN CENTRAL ASIA, BISHKEK, KYRGYZSTAN

In honor of the International 16 Days Against Violence Campaign, Aryyjan Karakol – Issyk-Kul’s premier women’s rights and gender equality NGO – and Manaa, Talas’s premier women’s rights and gender equality NGO – delivered gender equality and human rights training sessions in 30 rural villages across Issyk-Kul and Talas Oblasts. To commemorate the end of these sessions and inspire youth leaders to both engage their local communities and focus their research on crucial issues facing women and youth in the Kyrgyz Republic, Aryyjan Karakol will deliver the final session for 16 Days Against Violence at the American University of Central Asia. In addition to being delivered by Aryyjan Karakol, this event will be attended by representatives from the United States Peace Corps, UN Women, the United States Embassy, and other well-respected international organizations working in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The information will cover three main areas:

·        International laws, including internationally accepted human rights laws and the role of women in peace-building and post-conflict reconciliation, specifically United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, and the Convention Eliminating all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW)
·     Domestic violence, including information on, the domestic and criminal laws pertaining to, the cultural implications and norms of, and nation-wide statistics on domestic violence in the Kyrgyz Republic
·      Bride kidnapping, including information on the types of kidnapping that exist – both historically and in the present-day – including consensual and non-consensual, the culturally accepted norms that have allowed the continuation of this practice, domestic and international laws on forced marriage and abduction, and potential courses of action for combating ala kachuu in local communities
·          Additionally, there will be a 1-2 hour open-forum discussion and Q & A at the end of the presentation, where all participants can voice their opinions, ask questions, and engage each other in healthy discourse pertaining to human rights

The UN World Food Programme in the Kyrgyz Republic is announcing a vacancy for the position of Field Monitor Assistant (2 positions) for Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

Supervision received:

The Field Monitor Assistant will be directly supervised by the National Programme Officer and under the general supervision of the Head of Programme

Accountabilities:

Within delegated authority, the Field Monitor Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

·    Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the assistance programme at the local level, in close collaboration with the implementing partners;
·     Monitor and review the overall commodity movements such as food deliveries, storage, transport and distribution at the site and verify if the amounts received have been properly recorded, damaged or suspected to be damaged;
·       Supervise the efficient distribution of food items at the site and ensure proper distribution of entitlements and verify appropriate entitlements are distributed and provide feedback to Field Officers and others on the distribution;

Description of tasks:

Under the direct supervision of the UNHCR Assistant Protection Officer in Bishkek the UNV volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
·          Filling refugee status determination (RSD) Registration Forms and interviewing persons of concern to UNHCR.
·          Assisting the protection staff in the counseling of refugees and asylum-seekers (especially those who have suffered any trauma, medical cases or have particular social problems).
·          Handling individual case files in the Protection Unit.
·          Updating the database of individual cases.
·          Assisting with resettlement, voluntary repatriation and local integration cases, submissions or referrals.
·          Monitoring and collecting relevant country-of-origin (COI) information.
·          Assisting in organization of consultations and meetings with target refugee groups to determine needs, issues, and community responses.
·          In close collaboration with the Protection staff, and using beneficiaries databases and other sources of information, identifying vulnerable groups such as unaccompanied minors and disabled refugees as well as individuals or groups with special needs such as single headed households and the elderly and mobilizes community support in order to address their needs.
·          Participating in the drafting of reports.
·          Performing other necessary duties as requested by the supervisor.

Furthermore, UN Volunteer is encouraged to:

·          Strengthen his/her knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark IVD);
·          Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country;
·        Reflect on the type and quality of voluntary action that they are undertaking, including participation in ongoing reflection activities;
